EMF-Free Air Tube Earphones

Experience safe listening with our non-EMF, anti-radiation air tube earphones.

What Are Air Tube Headsets?

Air Tube Headsets are just like regular earphones or headphones, but without the constant EMF radiation pulses to your brain. They transmit audio through air tubes (hence the name!). This is because the wiring in normal earphones acts as an antenna, and increases the EMF levels you are being exposed to. If you listen to music, or podcasts or take calls regularly while you are on the go, these headsets are vital. You wouldn’t hold a microwave oven to your head, would you? You wouldn’t know that you are using EMF-friendly headphones, as the quality is just as good.

How do air tube headphones work?

Ordinary wired headphones and earbuds carry sound through a metal wire that runs close to your head — that wire can act as an antenna, picking up wireless radiation. Air tube headphones solve this three ways:

  • No speaker in the earpiece itself — sound travels down a hollow air tube rather than through a wire or speaker sitting in your ear, avoiding direct exposure to your eardrum and brain.
  • Copper-shielded wire — the wire from the jack to the air tube is copper-shielded, preventing it from transmitting high-frequency EMF.
  • Distance — the air tube physically increases the distance between the phone or device and your head, reducing exposure further.

If your phone itself is a concern too, not just what’s plugged into it, see our Phone Radiation Protection range. Want to measure your actual exposure rather than just reduce it? Our EMF Meters and Detectors can show you real readings.

FAQ

What's the difference between wireless, wired, and air tube earphones?

Wireless (Bluetooth) earphones sit directly in your ear and transmit constantly, placing a radio transmitter right against your head. Ordinary wired earphones use a standard wire straight to a speaker in your ear — safer than Bluetooth, but the wire itself can still act as an antenna. Air tube earphones go a step further: a shielded wire runs to a hollow tube rather than a speaker, so there’s no antenna-like wire near your ear and no speaker sitting inside it, keeping any EMF source as far from your head as the design allows.

Do air tube earphones sound as good as normal earbuds?

Sound quality is genuinely comparable for everyday listening — music, podcasts, and calls. The trade-off isn’t audio quality, it’s needing a wired connection rather than Bluetooth.

Do air tube earphones have magnets near my ear?

No — because there’s no speaker sitting inside the earpiece, there’s no magnet close to your ear either. Standard earbuds and headphones use small magnets inside the speaker driver, positioned right against your ear canal; air tube earphones move that speaker away from your head entirely.
