The metal shielded wire runs from the 3.5mm jack point to the air tube cross-over section. It is made of copper to prevent the transmission of high frequency EMFs, achieving an effective anti-radiation effect. It also strengthens the product, extending the service life.

Are these safer than normal wired earphones?
Yes, ordinary wired earphones contain metal wires, acting as an antenna for the wireless radiation. Still a lot safer than wireless/bluetooth earbuds.
These air tube headphones will work with any phone/laptop/computer/games console that has the standard 3.5mm audio jack port. Most modern smartphones do not have this port. You may need an adapter to allow plug-in via the charging port.
